Still catching up on super late blog posts, folks! This one is also from a few months ago. It’s also a pretty boring – sorry!
Monday. May 18, 2015. Hike: Mount Si. Mileage: 8 miles. Elevation gain: 3150 feet. High point: 3900 feet.
I want to get my hike on, and I have limited time, so I hike Mount Si again (what is this 4th or 5th time?). It’s not a very exciting trail. Well, maybe the first time. But after the second time it gets kinda boring. I like the constant change of scenery that goes along with hiking new trails. Yet, the draw for Si is that it’s a good workout and it’s absurdly close to Seattle – only 45 minutes by car.
So Si it is! I hike! I run down! I think I remember using the pit toilets in the parking lot at one point. I’m also pretty sure I hiked in my red hiking dress – I amuse myself when I run by other hikers in a red dress and pink shoes, it just seems so silly. The sun is out and the weather is nice.
My knees do not hurt at the end! I’m conditioning my knees into submission – it’s working! The end!
Stay tuned, next time I hike Si I’m going to check out the old trail that starts out in the Boulder Garden Loop. When? Who knows!
